stand\DELIVER is an adventure module that primarily takes place in District: Eko (or The Dek). The Dek is an entertainment district in Prospero’s Dream run by the Donova Crime Family, who aim to maintain control by any means necessary, including paying off the local Hoplite Security Firm. While the Sycorax trade is prosperous in the rest of The Dream, the Donova Family knows not to rival the big players. They provide the community with other drugs at their Vice Bars, VR Dream Rooms, and brothels.
On behalf of a powerful group, an anonymous client is looking for subcontractors to deliver the latest shipment of goods for the Donova Family’s drug racket. This could be an opportunity, not only for some money, but also for getting in the good graces of a powerful employer. However, this shipment may be more than they bargained for. Once delivered, the shipment of Tainted drugs begins mutating all who consume it.
As a second hook, the players could choose to join Hoplite Security in handling the unruly denizens of The Dek. Employment as a security patrol provides players with an opportunity to earn good credits and reputation within the Mercenary group and the district. Their choice will run them straight into the chaos of a mutant outbreak.
Alternatively, players could be enjoying their downtime when the outbreak begins, and The Dek goes into lockdown.
Regardless of the player's decisions to join one faction or the other, failure to perform their obligations will result in a myriad of problems. As subcontractors, failing their contractual obligations to their anonymous client results in fines or legal trouble. Defying orders from the Hoplite Security often results in dismissal and a court sentence. On The Dream, legal punishment can have dire outcomes.
