Tales from the Tape Deck is a tabletop role-playing game that fits in a cassette tape case. Each Volume contains a new setting, character options, and rules. TTD is designed to be a pick-up game. This means the rules are easy-to-learn and portable, which is ideal for spontaneous games. Each Volume will have its own curated playlist of original and licensed music.
Each volume of Tales from the Tape Deck is inspired by a music playlist from a specific genre. Each playlist is linked to a QR code, allowing you to access it on major streaming platforms. The music inspires the theme, builds atmosphere, and raises tension.
After all, the playlist is a countdown timer for the game session. Each playlist is approximately 1 hour long. During gameplay, you hear the playlist twice. This will notify everyone at the table that the end is near.

Volumes 1, 2 & 3 will be part of the crowdfunding campaign:
- Righteous Ride of the Radicals is a fuel-filled race through the wastelands on post-apocalyptic war rigs racing the clock of 80s rock.
- Dawn without a Coffin is a blood-sucking pointcrawl through 1700s New Orleans. As a party of vampires, you return from a hunt to discover your coffins have been stolen. Fend off pirates, monks and feral vampires before sunrise burns you away.
- DeDroid City is a calculated reverse heist into the heart of New Detroit. As recently sentient androids, you hold the code to free your automaton compatriots. Overcome obstacles of overpopulation, Anti-Droid Riots, and the built-in defenses of DeDroid, the robotics corporation no human can live without.
- Madness Motel is a mind-bending depthcrawl where you are charged with destroying the eldritch artifact hidden in a motel. You must escape before its cosmic tendrils drive you to insanity. Uncover horrifying rooms and test your mettle.
